David Gottfried

Chief Executive Officer

David is the CEO of the Regenerative Network. He is also the founder of the U.S. Green Building Council and World Green Building Council, the largest green building organizations in the world with green building councils in 90 countries. He crafted the vision and model for the LEED® green building rating system–now adopted in 140 countries worldwide. David is also the CEO of Regenerative Ventures, a GreenbuildTech™ incubator, and one of the foremost catalysts in the global green building movement. He has a degree in Engineering and Resource Management from Stanford, and serves on the Stanford Professional in Real Estate Board of Governors and is a founding member of its Real Estate Council. David has received numerous leadership awards. In 2011, David received the inaugural WorldGBC Green Building Entrepreneurship Award. Gottfried has also written two influential books.  For almost 30 years he has been active in multiple facets of the real estate industry, and is an adviser to ten GreenbuildTech™ startups.

Dr. Brandon Tinianov, LEED AP ID+C

Director of Member Business Development

Dr. Tinianov is a recognized expert in energy efficiency and building sciences.  His 20 years of science and innovation experience in the construction industry have spanned various materials and systems including insulation, wallboard, glazing and software controls. Prior to Regenerative Network, Brandon spent seven years at Serious Energy working as Chief Technology Officer, where he managed the Intellectual Property portfolio, led the technology roadmap across the multiple divisions, and was a core member of the M&A committee. Prior to joining Serious, Brandon spent eight years at the Johns Manville Corporation where he oversaw the Building Sciences and Engineering Applications Center of Excellence. At JM his focus was the synthesis of the fundamental physics and testing of building materials and systems and innovation development and technology scouting.  He has decades of international standards and code experience and their role in policy. He currently serves on multiple advisory boards and is the President on the Board of Directors of the USGBC Northern California Chapter. Brandon is an accomplished inventor, with 21 issued patents and more than twenty pending patent applications. Brandon is a registered Professional Engineer, LEED Accredited Professional, and frequent speaker to the professional community.

 

Huston Eubank

Chief Knowledge Officer

Huston is a registered architect with many years of experience in the sustainable design of buildings, communities and businesses. Prior to his role with Regenerative Network, for six years he was a Principal with the Green Development Services team at Rocky Mountain Institute, and served as founding Secretary and Executive Director of the World Green Building Council. Huston worked with David previously as the Director of Building Futures Services, served as “EarthSmart Ambassador” for Portland General Electric (PGE), and was a senior project architect at Gensler. Huston has a BArch degree from Cornell University, and is a LEED AP, a Fulbright Senior Specialist, and a former Certified Construction Specifier (CCS).

Nellie Cheng

China Development Manager

Nellie Cheng has followed a distinguished path of public service in Canada and the U.S for more than 25 years and established a track record in delivering successful projects in the Asian market. Nellie’s professional engagement includes serving as Economic Development Director at the City of Prince Rupert in the Province of British Columbia, Canada; overseeing investment attraction and business development at the Vancouver Economic Development Commission; serving as Manager of Greater China with the Government of British Columbia; and Director of East Asia with the Government of Washington State. Nellie served on the Board of World Green Building Council for six years, for four years as Treasurer and two years as Secretary. Nellie Cheng also served as Senior Trade Consultant at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), promoting Canadian Healthy Housing and Sustainable Communities in the China market. Nellie Cheng obtained her Master’s Degree in Communication Studies from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and Executive Management Diploma from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada.

Todd Lukesh

Vice President

Todd has over ten years of experience in sustainable design and construction project delivery. He most recently served as Manager of Sustainability at Webcor Builders, leading the firm in incorporating innovative environmental practices and clean technology into the design, preconstruction, construction, and operational phases of a project. In his role at Regenerative Network, Todd manages the business development and Member recruitment. Todd holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a minor in Construction Management and concentration in Environmental Sustainability. He is an Associate AIA member, a LEED AP, an advanced Certified Green Building Professional (CGBP), a GreenPoint Rater (GPR), certified by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), and an adjunct professor at the USC and San Francisco State University.

Dave Rhoads

Program Manager

Dave has extensive knowledge of architecture, urban planning and design, green building, and corporate sustainability consulting. He has a deep passion for emerging and clean technologies that can help provide significant environmental and economic benefits. Through his role as Manager of Regenerative Network, Dave has worked with over a dozen green building cleantech firms. He has a BArch from U.C. Berkeley, with experience in business management.

Daniel Shapiro

Manager of Member Business Development

Daniel has built his career in sustainability from a variety of industry perspectives, including the U.S. Department of State, where he designed and implemented public-private partnerships for clean energy technologies, and the British Consulate-General in New York City, where he helped promote U.S. engineering and cleantech business expansion into the United Kingdom.  Additionally, Daniel has led energy and sustainability policy research at ClimateWorks Foundation in San Francisco and the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, D.C.  Daniel is originally from New York State, and in 2009 received a double Master’s degree in International Development & Public Policy from The Hague, Netherlands and Budapest, Hungary.

Casey O’Connell

Director of Communications

Casey joins Regenerative Network with a substantial background in communications, marketing, public relations, brand strategy and positioning. She guides the Network in strategic positioning, brand development and event management. Casey served as publicist at a leading public relations firm in New Orleans, LA, before moving to California, where she worked as a Communication Specialist and supported project design and implementation at an energy and sustainability consulting nonprofit. Casey is a published author and a graduate of Tulane University with a B.A. in Communication and Business.

Natalie Ragan

Operations Manager

Natalie joined Regenerative Network having recently moved to the Bay Area from Washington DC. Natalie supports company operations at the Network; she has an extensive academic and professional background in applying organizational priorities to environmental initiatives. In her last position, Natalie worked to organize international wildlife protection policies and campaigns for the international arm of The Humane Society of the United States. She has also worked as the Administrative and Program Assistant for the Natural Resources program at Virginia Tech and holds a Master’s degree in Wildlife Conservation from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.
